Whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Colossians 3:17
We strive to encourage the growth of spiritual and moral values based on the principles of the Christian faith by maintaining a well-disciplined, yet happy and nurturing environment.
Our Vision ExplainedÂ
With the Lord Jesus at the heart of all we do, we celebrate the unique God given gifts of every individual (James 1:17). Rooted in Christian hope, dignity and wisdom, pupils flourish in faith, excel academically and are championed to follow their creative and physical pursuits; equipping all children to lead full and happy lives in the knowingness that God has a plan of hope and prosperity for all futures (Jeremiah 29:11). Through Jesus’ teachings we embrace our mission and inspire all children to reach beyond their potential and give thanks to God in all that they do; to be courageous advocates caring for others and their world; to be compassionate citizens and thrive as part of one global Christian community.Â
Our ValuesÂ
At The Blue school our Christian values are at the heart of daily school life. They are rooted in our vision; their ethos enhances our daily collective worship and informs all that we do as a Church of England school. Our school values are underpinned by the Church of England’s Vision for Education.
HopeÂ
‘God remembered Noah and all the wild animals that were with him in the ark, and He sent a wind over the earth and the waters receded’ – Genesis 8: 1
‘God keeps His promises’ – Genesis 9:13
Dignity
‘A servant is not greater than his master, or a messenger greater than the one who sent him’ – John 13:16Â
Wisdom
‘Only the Lord gives wisdom’ – Proverbs 2: 6Â
‘Give me the wisdom I need to rule your people with justice and to know the difference between right and wrong’ – 1 Kings 3: 9-14
CommunityÂ
‘We’re better together than we are alone’ – Romans 12: 4-5Â
‘Love the Lord your God and love your neighbour as yourself’ – Luke 10:27
We feel that these aims should increase the capacity for each child's enjoyment and fulfilment, as well as giving greater awareness of the needs of others.
Everything we do at The Blue School has Our Vision at heart:
Whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Colossians 3:17
By focusing on this we aim to develop each individual pupil to their full potential in terms of creative, physical and academic pursuits whilst fostering a love of learning alongside emotional and spiritual well-being.
This is our school. Let peace live here. Let the room be full of happiness. Let love be all around, love for one another, love for all people, and love for life and living. Let us remember that as many hands build a house, so many hearts build a school.
Amen.
