We are looking forward to learning lots of new things! This year there is a different approach to the curriculum, using our interests as the lead. We are excited to welcome visitors such as the Police, Guide Dogs and Fire Brigade.
We will have a phonics lesson everyday which will help us to read and write. There is a special Maths area in the classroom which will help us to develop number and problem solving skills. Most importantly we will learn how to be independent and work as part of a team. We will also start P.E. lessons and learn lots of new skills. In R.E. we will learn about the Creation and being a child of God.
We are so proud of the Reception children for adapting to online learning so quickly and to school life with a difference. This week they have had fun learning all about the season of Winter. The children have been fascinated to find out about the different animals that hibernate.
They have been very busy making dens, caves and nests for their animals to hibernate, these have included bears, hedgehogs, mice and bats. Here are some of the many fabulous designs.
Amazing work Reception!!!
