Founded in 1630, The Blue School has an impressive history. Thousands of children have been educated at The Blue School over almost four centuries. Our community is powerful and lasting.
We are launching our Alumni Association in 2021 with the goal of building a network that can:
Hello Blue School
My name is Roger Ferris and I’ve have been connected with the Blue School for 25yrs now, as a parent, a PA member, a Finance Governor and lastly, as Chair of Governors, before standing down at the end of 2019.
Our three sons, Oliver, Conor and Elliot all attended the Blue and went on to achieve and aspire all the things that we would have wanted for them, thanks in the main to the strong, early foundations given to them by this school.
For a few years now, we have been keen to create an alumni forum at the school, a chance to catch up with ex pupils and tap into their place in the world. It would be an opportunity for them to share their life experiences with the current and future pupils of the school too and offer a little insight into the big wide world beyond the school gates.
Fortunately, your headteacher, Rachel Jones also thinks this would be a good idea, so we intend to have this up and running as soon as we possibly can.
If you have any queries or stories of your own to share, please do get in touch. Keeping tabs on over 100,000 ex pupils is going to be interesting.
The class of 2021 have shown extraordinary resilience during two years of pandemic disruption. They are smart, ambitious and have made the most of every opportunity. These young people are our launch alumni.
