Hop…hop…hop into Rabbits class!
Miss Pearson is our teacher and Mrs Perkins is our teaching assistant with Rita the Rabbit as our class mascot. This year we have jumped into KS1 bursting with enthusiasm. We are a happy and caring class who love to have fun.
In Year 1, we thought about how we can make sure we have our best year yet! These ideas became our class rules, which are:
• Be happy and have fun
• Respect ourselves and others
• Be kind and friendly
• Put our hands up to talk
• Do our best!
We start our day with a bit of phonics, followed by maths and English. We then participate in whole school worship. After lunch we begin our foundation learning. This term we will look at subjects like science, computing, geography and history. We finish our day by reading a story together before home time.
We will be ‘burrowing’ further into the KS1 curriculum as we enter the new term. We are very excited to be learning about traditional tales such as Cinderella in English, plants and natural growth in science and creating fruit kebabs in design and technology, and learning about home from the past in history. In RE we will spend some time learning about community and promises. Some things we also have to look forward to in the Summer term include a trip around Kew Gardens in July.
