Bike to School Week 27th Sept to 1st Oct 

Cycling, scooting, walking or any other active transport is a great way to kickstart active lifestyle and encourage a healthy school run for all. 

There are loads of benefits to getting active on the way to school:

  • It’s a boost to children’s physical and mental health and wellbeing
  • Children arrive more relaxed, alert and ready to start the day. 
  • There’s reduced congestion and pollution around the school gates. 
  • Children are more aware of road safety and feel more independent.

Thank you to all those families that took part in last week’s Bike to School Week initiative. It was fantastic to see so many of you scooting, cycling, walking and even roller blading your way to school! And a very big thank you to all of those families who sent in their images to us, you are all active heroes!
