FRIDAY 18 MAY 2018

The Parents Association and the Blue School are delighted to announce that we will be replicating our popular annual ‘Bounce’ promotion – this time in aid of ‘Information Technology’ (see what we did there?!)

The school has some exciting ideas to transform the current IT suite into a ‘fab lab’ equipped with new facilities which is the first step in a whole IT upgrade programme.

On Friday 18 May, we will be inviting all children, within school time, from Nursery up to Year 6 to take part and have a bouncy castle being installed for a fun Friday!

How Will It Work

All children will take part over the course of the day and will be bouncing for one minute on the bouncy castle.  The aim is for them to bounce as many times as they can.

We will be dividing the children (with the exception of Nursery) into their House Teams – Red, Yellow, Blue and Green to add a more of a competitive element. The children’s bounces will be counted and added to their team total. The overall winning team will be awarded the ‘Bounce for IT’ trophy and a sum of money to buy some fantastic IT devices of their own choice for the school.

This event will be supervised and facilitated by the teachers and PA but if you do not wish your child to take part, then please contact your child’s class teacher.  Children will be taking part in their PE kit, so team coloured T shirts will not be required.

We’d like the children to be sponsored to see how many times they can bounce within one minute.

If we reach £1500 in sponsorship, some of the teachers have agreed to bounce too – there will be photographic evidence!!

Anyone can sponsor a child – parents, friends and grandparents – this can be done via an online donation site https://mydonate.bt.com/events/theblueschool/462667 which is now live.  We have also enclosed sponsorship forms for those that would prefer to collect monies that way. Forms and monies need to be returned to the school office by Monday 4 June which is also the date the online sponsorship will close.

If every child in the school manages to raise just five pounds, that will raise over £2200!

We hope you will support us by donating and help us raise money for our children who will also be having fun at the same time!

Many thanks
