🎉 Very Special Visitor at The Blue School! 🎉
We were proud to welcome back Grammy-winning musician Brandon John-Baptiste! Brandon, who left Blue School around 2010 (that’s him on the far right in his class photo), joined us for Assembly and kindly signed autographs for the children.

A brilliant moment for everyone – what an inspiration! 💙🎶
🌟💫🌿 The plants have found a wonderful new home in our nursery and the Piece Garden, thanks to the fantastic initiative by @waywardplants and @The_RHS. These plants have made such a difference to our outdoor space, bringing life and colour right to the front of the school! 🌱

A huge thank you to Mrs Silva for organising this opportunity for TBS, and to all our Year 6 and Nursery children who helped plant them with such enthusiasm and care. It’s been wonderful to see the children getting involved and learning about sustainability and the importance of giving plants a second chance.

We’re excited to watch these plants grow and thrive as part of our school community!🌟💫
Our Nursery children turned recycled bits and bobs into a sunny seaside world — with a lighthouse, a little boat and a big bright sun. Well done, little makers!🌟🔆🌊
🌟We had some lovely visitors from a local school this week who joined our Year 4 classes for a times tables challenge competition and playtime. The children had a brilliant time together!🌟
🌟💫This week, our Year 1 children visited our local church to learn about baptism. They explored the church building, saw the font up close and found out what happens during a baptism service. The visit brought their RE lessons to life and helped them understand how baptism welcomes people into the Christian family.🌟💫
This week, Year 5 enjoyed a focused art session where they learned to draw flowers using pencil. Pupils studied the shapes and patterns found in different flowers and practised sketching techniques to capture detail and texture. Using just pencil, they explored line, shading and tone to bring their drawings to life. It was a lovely opportunity to slow down, observe nature closely and build confidence in their drawing skills.
🎻✨ Our talented violin pupils put on a fantastic assembly to share what they’ve learned this year! Some have only been playing for 9 weeks and are already showing amazing progress — well done, everyone! 👏🎶
Our final Sports Day of the year ! 🏅 Reception children gave it their all, with brilliant support from their Year 6 buddies and families. Well done, everyone! 👏💙
🌱✨ Our gardeners enjoyed learning about seeds and plants in our garden — from finding hidden potatoes 🥔 to watering every plant with care. And a huge thanks to Mrs Silva for making it all possible. 💚
🌟💫Our amazing Year 1 Otters children led a beautiful worship this week. We’re so proud of their confidence and the thoughtful messages they shared. Well done 💛✨
